    Leicester City have appointed former Barnsley boss Conor Hourihane as assistant manager and Rhys Owen as fitness coach.

    Hourihane, 35, left Barnsley at the end of last season after 14 months in charge, leading them to a 15th-place finish in League One in his first managerial role.

    Rhys Owen previously worked with manager Russell Martin at Norwich City, Swansea City, Southampton and Rangers.

    As a result of these appointments, Leicester have announced the departures of first-team coach Adam Sadler and set-piece coach Andy Hughes.

    Leicester suffered a second successive relegation at the end of last season and will start the League One season away at newly promoted Notts County on Saturday, 15 August (12:30 BST).

    Leicester City could lose multiple players this summer with West Ham, Coventry and Besiktas battling for the signature of 22-year-old Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu.     Leicester's Zambian striker Patson Daka, 27, and English midfielder Harry Winks, 30, are linked with exits to Spanish side Real Betis and Italian club Cagliari, respectively.
