It's time to party! By party, I mean learn four phrases with 'party'.
Someone who loves parties, goes to lots of them and really enjoys themselves is a party animal.
Of course she'll come – she's a real party animal.
Some people really make a party more fun. And if you're that person, you might be thelife and soul of the party.
He's great to be around. He makes everyone laugh. He's the life and soul of the party.
A party trick is something you can do and not many other people can. And you can use it to impress people at a party.
Doing perfect handstands was her party trick.
Someone who says they're late to the party might not actually be talking about a party. We use it to say we found out about, or got interested in, something long after everyone else.
I know I'm late to the party, but I loved that series from last year.
