Health & Social Care

Introduction
Find out more about jobs and careers in the Health and Social Care sector. What jobs can you do and where can you work? What qualifications do you need? How would you get onto an Apprenticeship scheme and what's involved.

Flash Activities and Guidance Notes:
Have a go at our three Flash activities, based on work in a Residential Care Home. The activities combine NVQ criteria with Level 2 Key Skills. At the end of each activity, you'll be able to print out the results of your work to include in both your NVQ and Key Skills portfolios.

Further Activities
Some ideas of further activities you can have a go at, based on the scenario for the Flash games. These will provide you with more evidence for your portfolio.

Flash Activities

The activities put you in the position of a Key Worker in a Residential Care Home.

Your job is to use your skills to look after an elderly client who has just been admitted to the home. You need to chat to her and help to make her room and her stay comfortable.

Before having a go at the Flash activities, you should read through the guidance notes preparing you for the exercise.
