Gochugaru recipes
Gochugaru is a Korean red pepper chilli powder and it is used to make the popular pickled cabbage dish kimchi. It is smoky and sweet with a hot chilli kick.

Kimchi is surprisingly easy to make and makes a great addition to rice dishes or a pork sandwich.
Please note, if mould forms on your kimchi at any point, discard the batch and start again.
For this recipe you will need a 1 litre/1¾ pint wide-mouthed clip-top jar, a large mixing bowl, colander and disposable or new clean rubber gloves.
