What are Chinese dumplings?

You will need:

For the dough

For the filling

1 tbsp cold water

Method
Stir (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.jiǎo bàn) the water into the flour until mixed – add more water if the mixture seems dry. Knead this with your hands (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.shǒu), dusting with a little flour if sticky.
Put the dough in a bowl (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.wǎn), covered with a clean, damp towel, and let it rest.
After about twenty (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.èr shí) minutes, tear the dough into sixteen (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.shí liù) equal-sized pieces and flatten each into a round flat pancake.
Mix all of the filling ingredients in a large bowl.
Place (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.fang) some filling in the centre of each pancake and moisten the edges with water.
Fold the dough in half.
Pinch it together with your fingers (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.shǒu zhǐ).
Ask an adult to bring a pan of water to the boil (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.zhǔ), add the dumplings and put on the lid, boiling them for three (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.sān) to four (Sorry, something went wrongCheck your connection, refresh the page and try again.sì) minutes.
