1976: Bristol's Bayeux tapestry

"Outside of London, there isn't a city in the kingdom that's got a more colourful and varied history."

The 73-foot-long embroidered tapestry illustrates the city of Bristol's history, from explorer John Cabot's sea voyage to America in 1497, to the supersonic flight of Concorde.
