A shorter rain delay than what may have been initially feared comes to an end.

The gloomy clouds have made way for glorious sunshine as play on Andy Murray Arena resumes with Emma Raducanu leading Anna Blinkova 3-0 in the opening set of this first round tie here at Queen's Club.

The clouds have cleared, the sun is out and the covers are off.

If it stays this way, play could be resuming very shortly...

I'm afraid the weather has reared its ugly head yet again as Emma Raducanu and Anna Blinkova have been forced off the court, with the Briton having taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening set.

It's been an impressive display to start from Raducanu, breaking Blinkova's serve and holding her own serve twice without losing any points.

Any early momentum built has now come to a grinding halt.

The Great British summer strikes again!

  4. Up first in the Andy Murray Arenapublished at 12:14 BST

    Emma Raducanu v Anna Blinkova

A quarter-finalist at the WTA 500 event last year, Emma Raducanu will be hoping to go all the way this time around to get her grass court season off to the perfect start. Raducanu is the only Brit to gain direct entry into the draw, with wildcards given to Katie Boulter, Francesca Jones, Harriet Dart and teenager Mika Stojsavljevic.

She takes on the 105th ranked Anna Blinkova who makes her Queen's Club debut. This will be the first time Raducanu and Blinkova have squared off so this is very much an unknown test for the top ranked Brit, but she seems to be in confident form winning the first game of the opening set quite comfortably.

  5. Welcome to day two of Queen's 2026!published at 12:02 BST

Welcome back to Queen's Club on day two after a rain-affected start of the 2026 grass court season.

The weather reigned supreme yesterday and despite some showers this morning, the skies appear to have cleared up. The forecast for this afternoon seems much more promising, so we should be getting through a lot of tennis as there's plenty to catch up on.

Emma Raducanu will be in action to start against Anna Blinkova at Andy Murray Arena, but her opening match-up is followed by the continuation of her doubles partner Katie Boulter's first round tie with Leylah Fernandez.

The Brit is currently trailing the former US Open finalist 3-6, 3-3 after the weather put a halt to their match yesterday.

There's also just the small matter of the legendary Serena Williams' return to the court. She will be in doubles action alongside Victoria Mboko to round out the action in Andy Murray Arena today.

The road to Wimbledon starts here at the Queen's Club with the women's tournament taking place this week before the men step up next week.

The Nottingham Open, Eastbourne and Wimbledon Qualifying are all on the way in the next three weeks before the big one kicks off at SW19 on Monday June 29th.

I guess all that's left to say now is... who's ready for some tennis?

23-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena Williams will make her return to competitive action after an absence of almost four years in the women's doubles.

Williams, who has been granted a wildcard for the tournament, will play alongside Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko and the pair begin their campaign later today against Erin Routliffe and Nicole Melichar-Martinez.

The 44-year-old said she would be "evolving away" from tennis in 2022 but has decided to return, saying Queen's Club "feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter".

Wimbledon, where Williams has won seven singles and seven doubles titles, begins three weeks after Queen's.
