We know how passionate Argentina's players are, the stadium is intimidating, there's the hand of God shirt, it's been a big football week for them, and they are getting turned over.

    This is going to hurt.

The stretcher is being prepared for Benhard Janse van Rensburg.

The referee instructs both captains to tell their players "we're going to finish this game".

    97 seconds on the clock.

England are pinged for collapsing the scrum but Argentina can't capitalise.

Luke Cowan-Dickie comes up with the ball and Henry Slade clears.

Benhard Janse van Rensburg is getting some treatment on the floor. While that happens, it kicks off again. It's not been a fantastic advert for rugby.

Ellis Genge and Pedro Delgado square up to each other as the referee tries to reset the scrum. Ollie Chessum drags Genge away. Both props get a talking to.

Argentina's scrum rumbles forward, rumbles forward, but they're pulled back because someone stood up. England won't mind that. Reset.

  6. Sin-bin - England (Iyogun)published at 77 mins

    Argentina 17-31 England

Another offside from England. Debutant Emmanuel Iyogun is on his way to the bin. "Cynical" says the ref.

Three-ish mins to go, which England will play with 13 players. Argentina trail by 14 points.

Ellis Genge is being brought back on for the scrum. Marcus Smith makes way.

    The scrum needs resetting.

Both sides muck about for a bit longer and then Argentina are awarded a free-kick, taken quickly. Four minutes on the clock.

Right, I've done a bit of counting - finger pointing at the TV screen - and I think Argentina are back to full strength. England are down to 14.

Argentina have a scrum in front of the posts, five metres out.

  9. Sin-bin - England (yellow card)published at 74 mins

    Argentina 17-31 England

Joaquin Oviedo is held up just short. Bautista Delguy takes it back a pace or two and tries to surge in under the post. A blue body is held up over the line.

Referee Angus Gardner uses the opportunity to hand out a yellow card to Henry Pollock. England had been stacking offside infringements one on top of the other. Pollock can't believe it.

"20, you're in the bin," yells Gardner.

  10. 'That was spectacular'published at 21:58 BST

That was magnificent from Feyi-Waboso. The change of pace, swerve and speed in close quarters.

There really aren't many wingers in world rugby who could score that.

    That was spectacular.

I don’t understand why a genuine attempt to intercept the ball is a yellow card or penalty try. Really think that needs looking at. Ref doing his best here to be centre stage as usual.

    Chris Ashton
Former England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Feyi-Waboso had nothing on but the way he hits the line, he looks strong and fast and as soon as he makes the line break defenders can't reel him in.

He's been England's best player today.

  14. try

Try - Argentina 17-31 Englandpublished at 70 mins

    Feyi-Waboso (con missed)

Argentina's line-out is overthrown and England cycle the ball to Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, who breezes past a couple of defenders for his side's fifth try.

    Fin Smith misses the conversion.

A testing kick is sent towards Immanuel Feyi-Waboso but he gathers safely before being clattered by Pedro Delgado.

Needless penalty from Henry Pollock. Side entry.

Argentina have a line-out on the halfway line.

  17. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Argentina 17-26 England

Well, it's been total chaos in this second half.

Simon Benetiz Cruz kicks the ball out of play and everyone takes the opportunity to grab a breather before England's line-out.

Alex Coles is back on for England. 15 v 13.

George Martin has gone off for a cut, replaced by Tom Curry. Joe Heyes has made way for George Kloska.

Pollock's energy is making a difference getting England on the front foot.

  19. Sin-bin - Argentina (Santiago Carreras)published at 63 mins

    Argentina 17-26 England

Another yellow card. Santiago Carreras is pinged for a deliberate knock-on as he tried to disrupt the pass out to Marcus Smith.

Argentina are down to 13 players. England have 14.

  20. converted try

Converted try - Argentina 17-26 Englandpublished at 62 mins

    Marcus Smith (con Fin Smith)

England have been pretty clinical when they've got within sniffing distance of Argentina's try line.

It's Henry Pollock's carry which gets them deep inside the 22. A pass is flung wide to Marcus Smith in acres of space on the right and he drops over.

    Fin Smith converts.
