Sir Gareth Edwards has resigned as a director of Cardiff Rugby Football Club after more than 22 years in the role.
Companies House announced a "termination of appointment" of two directors on Friday, one being the legendary former Cardiff, Wales and British and Irish Lions scrum-half.
Sir Gareth previously stepped down as a director of Cardiff Blues after 22 years on their board in 2019.
He played 195 games over 12 seasons for Cardiff and went on to play 53 consecutive Tests for Wales, winning three Five Nations Grand Slams.
Voted the greatest player of all time in a 2003 poll, Sir Gareth was also a key player in the Lions' victorious Test series against New Zealand in 1971 and South Africa in 1974.
His try for the Barbarian against the All Blacks in 1973 is regarded as among the greatest ever scored.
Cardiff Rugby Football Club are a separate entity to Cardiff Rugby Limited which entered administration in April 2025, before operations of the company responsible for the elite professional region were subsequently taken over by the Welsh Rugby Union.
