Leicester sign Australian stand-off Bowen

Leicester Tigers have signed Australian stand-off half Jack Bowen.

Bowen, 22, has signed what Tigers call a "multi-year deal".

He will spend the first year out of that on loan in Japan with the Tigers' partner club Mitsubishi Dynaboars.

The Kanagawa-based club are coached by former Nottingham and London Irish boss Glenn Delaney.

"He'll come to Leicester via our partner club in Japan - Mitsubishi Dynaboars - to keep working on his game," said Tigers head coach Geoff Parling. "Then we look forward to seeing what he can do with us from 2027 onwards. Jack is someone who we think has some real potential."

"Joining Tigers is a really special feeling," said Bowen, who is the grandson of Australian tennis legend Tony Roche. "Leicester's a club with such strong history.

"They've had so much success in the past, so to be able to come across to a club like that is super exciting. It's a move that I'm hoping propels my career forward."

Tigers trio Lewis Chessum, Charlie Titcombe and Harry Palmer have all previously spent time out on loan with Dynaboars..
