Warrington Wolves have reached their fifth Super League Grand Final and first since 2018.

They have managed to hold off Leeds Rhinos in an drama-packed semi-final at AMT Headingley.

Sam Burgess' Wolves will now wait to find out who they face in the Old Trafford decider on Saturday, 3 October, with League Leaders' Shield winners Wigan Warriors hosting Wakefield Trinity tomorrow.

Leeds head coach Brad Arthur told Sky Sports:

"It's a tough loss.

"I was extremely proud of the boys. Everything that could have gone wrong probably did this week but we didn't use it as an excuses.

"I'm very disappointed becuase I feel the game's been decided by a very, very tough penalty.

"That penalty shouldn't be deciding a game of that magnitude.

"There were a few moments in the second half that we didn't own, there was plenty of fight but ultimately it wasn't good enough."

Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess told Sky Sports:

"We are there [Grand Final] now and have to go make the most of it. I think it's important that we enjoy the win tonight.

"Leeds were dealt a tough blow during the week with players out, and I thought they were very courageous tonight and have been unbelievable all year.

"I thought the young players for them tonight brought so much energy and I have to thank Leeds for a fantastic contest.

"I'm really proud of my group, we have had a great year together. It's been tough, up and down and it probably matched our performance tonight.

"We kept fighting and hanging in there and we have got into the Grand Final, which is what we set out to do at the start of the season."

Man of the match, Warrington's Toby King, told Sky Sports:

"What a finish to a game that was.

"Jake Connor, he's got the boot to kick it 60 metres, so it was heart in mouth for a moment there.

"It was a war of attrition, end to end. Any of the boys could have got man of the match.

"Sam wanted us to have one more week together and now we get that final week now. It's exciting. We've got a special group this year."

This drama-packed victory has Warrington heading back to the Super League Grand Final for the first time since 2018.

Warrington unsurprisingly call for a captain's challenge.

It's a quick replay and an obvious obstruction. The challenge is unsuccessful.

Jake Connor will go for the two point with a penalty from 60 metres to try level things up with the final kick of the game.

Leeds have a penalty with just seconds left.

Jake Connor chipped a kick over the defensive line and the chaser was taken out.

The captain's challenge is successful. It's a penalty to Warrington and they have less than two minutes to hold on for a victory that will take them to the Super League Grand Final.

Warrington don't like something that happened before that kick and call for a captain's challenge.

I think we are looking for a knock on earlier in the set.

No, it's not their last chance as Jake Connor has just come up with what could be the most important 40-20 kick of the season!

Leeds are pushing for what could be a match-winning try, but knock on. Is that it, was that their last real chance to snatch victory?

Leeds survive and relieve the pressure and some when Keenan Palasia blocks a George Williams kick.

He then looks to scoop the ball up, but is tripped by Williams as he scampers past. It's a penalty and Leeds kick for metres.

We have a dramatic finish in the making.

Warrington are within striking distance of the line now.

Ryan Hall, however, manages to stop Wolves from getting over as he gets up to slap a pass down.

Warrington have got away with a risky pass from Ewan Irwin.

The playmaker tries to force a chance out wide, and Riley Lumb picks the pass. His attempt at an incerecept, however, goes to ground.

If he had got his mitts round that, it would have been an almost certain breakaway try for Rhinos.

Jake Connor tries to magic something with the wand of a boot of his.

He goes looking for a 40-20 kick, but Albert Hopoate reads the danger and is all over it.

That could have been a kick that turned things on its head a little.
