Hull Kingston Rovers have sent forward Tom Whitehead on loan to Championship side Doncaster for the rest of the season.

The second-rower, 23, joined the reigning Super League champions this season from Warrington, where he made 11 appearances in three seasons.

After playing and scoring tries in two Challenge Cup games for the Robins, Whitehead made his Super League debut for them in a defeat at Catalans Dragons in March, but has not featured since.

He was loaned out five times last season and also played on a dual-contract basis for Widnes Vikings, but signed a three-year contract for KR in November.

The Robins have also signed Warrington Wolves back Flynn Holden until the end of the 2028 season.

The reigning world champions announced that the 19-year-old has joined them with immediate effect - his two senior appearances were at full-back while on loan at Goole Vikings in the Championship.

The teenager, a product of Crosfields amateur club, was picked for Lancashire's Academy Origin series last season after impressing in the Wolves academy.
