Brentford manager Thomas Frank on concerns over Ivan Toney and a possible ban for breaching FA gambling rules: "Is it a distraction? The most important thing is Ivan. He’s amazing in many aspects - the way he copes with distraction.

"He’s carried on scoring goals and working well for the squad. Like life, things get thrown at you and you have to deal with it."

On concern over leaks regarding his case with the FA: "We share the frustration with Ivan in regards to the leaks, the timing of them, talk of the length of the ban and suggestions that he did not train well with England.

"With us he trains well and shows great emotional intelligence. He is the number two striker in England.

"We don’t know where the leaks come from but we share the disappointment.

"We do the very best to help our players and we have talked with Ivan about how to deal with the situation."

Concerned about losing Toney to a lengthy ban?: "Yes I'm concerned. Of course we want our best players available. The good news is that we have other good players."

Southampton v Leicester (Sat, 17:30 GMT)

    Southampton

Ruben Selles on belief in his squad: “We knew we wouldn’t win every game, it was a disappointing result at Leeds and in the cup but you can win or lose football managers. You just need belief and we have to learn from every game. I still think the dressing room is good enough to stay in the Premier League."

Team news: “Che Adams is back so he probably be in the squad tomorrow and we don’t have nay other injury issues. Juan Larios will feature for the B team tonight as he edges closer to returning."

On Leicester: “When I prepare for a match, I always think that I can win. Brendan knows how to manage his team and they’ll try to avoid conceding a first goal. We had a good experience against them in the first half of the season where we came back. They have a good team and a good manager.

“I think they’ve been pretty clear with their ideas, so I can expect a match with both teams wanting to win. Both teams need a win. I expect the game to be really equal and that’s our target because then we can take our moments when they fall for us."

  11. 'We are stronger now'published at 14:23 GMT 3 March 2023

Southampton v Leicester (Sat, 17:30 GMT)

    Southampton

Southampton boss Ruben Selles has been speaking ahead of the match with Leicester on Saturday evening...

First on the loss to Grimsby in the FA Cup: “We had the time to reflect, we watched the game back and analysed the situation that led to the defeat. The two penalties shaped the game and they’re things we can avoid. The mentality and togetherness in key moments of the game weren’t there.

"So we analysed the game to see what we can do better football wise and also in player relations. Things that need to be done in a different way. I have a feeling we’re stronger now because we’ve taken some things seriously. We’re now ready to go tomorrow.

"I think when things aren’t going well, you can point to a lot of factors but in those games you need the relations on the pitch and because we didn’t it looked like we didn’t have passion on the pitch."

  12. 'The fans care, however that comes out is understandable'published at 14:20 GMT 3 March 2023

Chelsea v Leeds (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Chelsea

A final word from Chelsea manager Graham Potter to the club's fans: "The fans care, it’s an emotion, however that comes out is understandable. We’re hurting as well but also know they are. We thank them for their support because it’s been there completely. When you lose 1 0 at home to the bottom of league you expect disappointment. I have no complaints about the supporters - they have been fair and supportive. We haven’t given them enough to be excited."

On what Chelsea need to do differently against Leeds: "The most important thing is that Chelsea can win tomorrow. It’s an easier thing to say, just do something else and win. We could end up losing twice. That’s the beauty of football - the game is so difficult to control. We have to fight for results, stick together and work hard. That’s what we’ve been doing, we give it our best and we try to win."

"The boys have taken responsibility. They all admit that we can do better. Firstly it's down to me, but the players are honest enough to admit they can do better too.

"We are all fighting, but we need to show it on the pitch and that has to manifest itself in three points."

On support from the owners: "There is support. Of course I’ve spoken to them. But I am not hiding behind that. Results haven’t been good enough. I’m responsible. You accept the criticism and noise, my job is to prepare the team, stay focussed and try to win."
