The final has been too one sided to have the crowd on the edge of their seats but they had the consolation of seeing one of the biggest names in women's cricket play a memorable innings..

It's not always easy for a player when a long, successful international career comes to an end so it was refreshing to see Tammy Beaumont clearly enjoy her game.

Along with Sarah Bryce they were totally dominant with the bat on a day when scoring runs had looked difficult. Both scored unbeaten half centuries but it was Beaumont who finished with the Player of the Match champagne.

Australian Charli Knott had an unusually quiet final but two wickets in the final over of the Durham innings ensured she finished the Blast's top wicket taker and saw her named Player of the tournament.

As for Durham, they surprised many in reaching the final after a fine performance in the field against Hampshire. They couldn't produce it in the final but finish worthy runners up.

Now Notts will hope for a Blast double as the men take part in their Finals Day at Edgbaston tomorrow.

Hope you can join us then!

The toss was crucial with Kirstie Gordon and her side opting to bowl first.

Congratulations to The Blaze, they'll be absolutely delighted because they just didn't turn up on Finals Day last year. A below-par performance when they were easily beaten by the Bears, but they've put it right.

From a Durham perspective, today they showed just how good they were in that semi-final, but have just, for whatever reason, have struggled in this final and The Blaze have definitely showed their class.

There are things for Durham work on and I'm sure they'll look at that, but this is a big achievement for them to reach the final day in just their second season as a full-time professional club. Lots to build upon, lots to work on but lots to be proud of today.

Grace Thompson in particular in that semi-final did absolutely brilliant.

They've done it! Blaze win the second women's T20 Blast with plenty to spare.

A brilliant stand of 118 between Tammy Beaumont and Sarah Bryce makes a nonsense of an otherwise low scoring day.

A scampered single from Beaumont finishes it. She's launched the domestic only phase of her career with an unbeaten 54 and Sarah Bryce finishes 53 not out.

Durham, excellent in the semi-final, always knew they were well short of a competitive total in the final and their bowlers had no answer.

Blaze win with almost seven overs to spare.

I think The Blaze have performed terrifically well and it's definitely been helped by Kirstie Gordon winning the toss in both matches.

A nice, juicy short delivery first ball from Heather Graham is slapped for the 10th boundary of the innings by Sarah Bryce. An excellent stop on the boundary from Emily Windsor prevents Bryce adding another off the last ball.

Sarah seems determined to not let sister Kathryn get to bat.

Ten from the over including a couple of leg byes

Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It feels like the life is being sucked out of Durham here. The body language is looking a bit flat and negative.

They need to revitalise themselves somehow. That's got to come from the captain Hollie Armitage and she's probably busy scratching her head and wondering what to bowl at these two to break them up.

They need to do something special because this pair are firmly bedded in.

Tammy Beaumont is enjoying herself reverse sweeping Sophie Turner's first delivery through vacant third for a boundary.

She produces an orthodox sweep next ball for another four.

All this is good news for Grace Scrivens of Essex who's set to finish the tournament's top scorer and it doesn't look like Charli Knott will get the chance to overtake her.

12 off the over...just 40 more needed off 11 overs.

A full toss from Katie Levick second ball is dismissively sent to the boundary by Sarah Bryce.

Bryce adds another four and 10 come off the over.

    Blaze 56-0 chasing 118 v Durham

Maddy Villiers only concedes three from her first over but the body language from Durham doesn't suggest they really believe they can turn this around.

Katie Levick will be the next to try.

Blaze 53-0 chasing 118 to beat Durham

Blaze complete the most successful powerplay of Finals Day despite a testing over from Heather Graham who's come into the attack.

Sarah Bryce does well to keep out one which keeps low.

    Durham turn to spin now...

Blaze 46-0 chasing 118 to beat Durham

    Isabelle Duncan
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's somewhat surprising we haven't seen anything of Sophia Turner here to try and break up this opening partnership.

She was the star with the ball in that game against Hampshire earlier on. I don't think it'll be long before she's introduced into the attack.

In need of wickets Hollie Armitage sticks with her main strike bowler Lauren Filer even though she's conceded 15 in her first two overs. It's a mistake

Tammy Beaumont plays three glorious shots to the offside boundary and 14 come off the over.

Nearly! Sophie Turner can't quite reach Tammy Beaumont's aerial shot. It goes for four.

Blaze score 14 off the over as Trudy Johnson sees a leg side delivery go for three wides. That's now seven extras already in the innings.
