  1. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:58 BST

    Notts 239-3 v Surrey

Nottinghamshire will be very happy with that session after Joe Clarke and Jack Haynes batted right through it to guide the defending champions into a solid position.

Clarke goes to tea just seven short of his hundred, while Haynes is on 77 not out.

  2. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:53 BST

    Essex v Hants 216-5

A century stand between Jake Lehmann and Ben Brown, 105 for the fifth wicket, has kept Hampshire in the day.

But having got rid of Lehmann for 89, even with only one wicket in the afternoon session, Essex are still on top.

Brown takes tea 66 not out.

    Eakinazi c Robinson b Carson 14 (Sussex v Leics 189-5)

Leicestershire were easing towards tea with the day heading back their way.

    But they’ve lost Stephen Eskinazi.

He gets into a tangle trying to work Jack Carson’s off spin to leg and an inside edge via pad loops up to slip.

Based on Yorkshire's batting so far this season I'm expecting us to be bowled out ourselves for less than 100. Here's hoping they prove me wrong.

    Somerset 218-5 v Glamorgan

Steady progress from most of the Somerset batsmen so far today, but every so often there's a little burst of back-to-back boundaries.

Craig Overton this time who hits a couple of successive tidy fours off Zain ul Hassan and moves onto 19 from 21 balls.

We're a few overs away from tea in Cardiff.

  6. Postpublished at 15:45 BST

    Notts 230-3 v Surrey

Joe Clarke is starting to accelerate again - he pulls Adam Thomas through midwicket for four and then steers his next delivery to the boundary as well.

Clarke has advanced to 89, but the 90s have been rather like a game of Snakes and Ladders for him this season - only once has he made it to three figures.

So Clarke certainly won't have the century chalked off already in his mind just yet.

  7. Glamorgan fight back but Somerset 'reasonably happy'published at 15:44 BST

    Glamorgan v Somerset 216-5

    Nick Webb

Glamorgan’s bowlers have fought back in the afternoon sunshine after Somerset reached 138 before losing their second wicket, Josh Thomas and Tom Lammonby putting together a stand of 133.

Thomas reached a hard-working 71 as he and Lammonby put away the odd bad ball on a grassy pitch to get their team on the front foot.

But tall Aussie paceman Ryan Hadley broke the stand when Thomas played on, and burly young debutant Tom Norton claimed his first two wickets as Lammonby was lbw for 45 playing no shot and Archie Vaughan (17) was caught behind.

Will Smeed, trying to nail down a red-ball place along with his white-ball heroics, edged Timm van der Gugten to slip for 12, but Somerset will be reasonably happy to have got past 200 with five down in testing conditions.

    Hartley c Cracknell b Higgins 3 (Lancs 164-7 v Middlesex)

Ryan Higgins does the trick again, coming around the wicket to Tom Hartley and persuading him to nibble one behind.

Tom Bailey is next in for Lancashire, who could do with one of his lower-order recovery jobs here.

  9. WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 147published at 15:38 BST

    Warwickshire 147 v Yorkshire

Ethan Bamber is the last man out for 28 as the hosts post 147 in their first innings.

Jack White takes the wicket to make it four for him, and all the bowlers have enjoyed themselves with Cliff, Hill and Van Beek all taking two.

The Bears clearly found the batting conditions difficult, the question now is how will Yorkshire handle them?

Covers are coming off at New Road, but there is the threat of more weather around.

  11. Postpublished at 15:33 BST

    Warwickshire 145-9 v Yorkshire

A big shout from Yorkshire to end the Bears innings... not given.

They wanted Olly Hannon-Dalby lbw but not this time says the umpire.

OHD and Ethan Bamber have added 28 together and that is their side's highest partnership this innings.

  12. 100 runs

100 partnership for Clarke and Haynespublished at 15:30 BST

    Notts 204-3 v Surrey

Jack Haynes scampers a leg-side single off Jordan Clark and that lifts this fourth-wicket partnership into three figures.

It's been a good recovery by the Notts batters after Surrey reduced them to 18-2 this morning.

  13. Postpublished at 15:27 BST

    Warwickshire 139-9 v Yorkshire

Warwickshire's batting problems today could be summed up by the fact that their highest partnership is 23.

Ethan Bamber has hit a couple of sixes to try to give that fairly meagre total a bit of shine and his partnership with Olly Hannon-Dalby is now 22... with OHD adding seven since arriving.

  14. 200 runs

200 for Somersetpublished at 15:21 BST

    Somerset 203-5 v Glamorgan

A fine four from Craig Overton brings up 200 for Somerset. With Glamorgan able to celebrate five wickets so far, this one is finely balanced.

    Jennings c Cracknell b Roland-Jones 67 (Lancs 151-6 v Middlesex)

There's the big wicket for Middlesex!

Toby Roland-Jones thought he had Keaton Jennings caught behind earlier in the over, but the appeal for an edge was turned down.

This one, slanting across the Lancashire left-hander again, persuades the umpire and Jennings is on his way.

Tom Hartley is next in for the home side.

  16. wicket

    Lehmann b Porter 89 Essex v Hants (193-5)

It had been a great afternoon for Hampshire with Jake Lehmann and Ben Brown quickly raising a century stand to get their side back in the day.

But Jamie Porter has found the breakthrough and for the fifth consecutive innings, Lehmann can’t go onto three figures.

He’s done by one that nips in from round the wicket to take off stump. A very nice delivery and a big strike.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Jack Haynespublished at 15:15 BST

    Notts 192-3 v Surrey

Like Joe Clarke, Jack Haynes had been stuck just short of 50 for a while and showing visible frustration as he missed out on opportunities to get there.

Eventually he makes it, with an outside edge off Jordan Clark flying to the fence. A welcome milestone for Haynes, who's had a bit of a lean run since the game against Glamorgan a month ago when he made a hundred.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 15:13 BST

Opener Ben Charlesworth has helped Gloucestershire to 164-2 off 50 overs against Kent, currently on 81 not out, and he's been aided by a half century from Ollie Price.

James Taylor has taken both wickets for the visitors.

Elsewhere away from that temporarily halted game at Worcestershire, Derbyshire are 181-2 from 52 overs at home to Northamptonshire, largely due to a 112-run opening partnership from Harry Came and Luis Reece.

Thompson lbw Van Beek 8 (Warwickshire 117-9 v Yorkshire)

    Nine down!

Jordan Thompson is lbw to Logan van Beek.

Olly Hannon-Dalby, fresh from his recall from Worcestershire, is the last man in for Warwickshire who have had a fairly disastrous day so far.
