A reminder that an England win today - as looks highly likely at this stage - would put them level on points with South Africa and Australia at the top of Pool A.

It will be between those three for the semi-finals spots and the Roses could do with Australia beating South Africa tonight.

That would make it a straight shootout tomorrow evening, whereas a South Africa win would bring points average into play.

Third quarter under way and England start the second half very quickly.

No doubt that was an impressive half from England... but if we're being nit-picky, which you need to be to win gold medals, they'll definitely be looking to increase their goal percentage of 85% in the second half.

For reference, Australia achieved 95% when they played Tonga in their opening match.

Out the back of the media centre at the Hydro, the Scotland players are mingling with their friends and family after running Jamaica oh so close earlier. There are kids running around and people taking photos. It's a lovely sight.

The first half comes to an end and victory is all but assured for the Roses.

Sasha Glasgow scored 18 goals, Eleanor Cardwell had 17 and Liv Tchine has scored 10 off the bench.

It's now a question of finding a balance between trying to push the score up to boost the point average and making sure everyone is well rested for a crucial match against South Africa tomorrow.

I've had it confirmed that Sinaitakala Tukuʻaho, the crown princess of Tonga, is in the crowd watching the Tonga Tala today.

England's record for most goals in a single game at the Commonwealth Games is 89.

They're almost halfway to that total with a little under five minutes of the first half remaining.

Changes made but the intent and defensive intensity from England has stayed the same.

This is a ruthless display from the Roses.

The goal-shooter missed with a tentative first shot but has found her rhythm since, scoring with her next three.

Scotland's Tom Wright crashed out of the competition when failing to complete a lift in the clean and jerk.

He has been talking to TNT Sports: "I let it get to my head on the first attempt where I thought I stabilised and got the green signal but they overturned it.

"I should have stuck with it a bit more, have a bit more self belief which will come with time.

"I've been in the sport for under two years, I'm happy where I'm at and there's a lot more to do, definitely."
