"There was seven or eight minutes of added time there.

"I suppose there is a bit of an argument there with the hooter isn't there but no that was frustrating there today there."

Antrim manager Mark Doran on BBC Two NI:

"After 20,25 minutes we were reasonably happy. The one big disappointing thing was we gave 1-5 from turnovers, three breaches.

"We knew coming here we needed a perfect performance and the top teams they do punish you.

"I couldn't fault our effort but just that was probably the most disappointing thing at half-time we felt we did so much right but yet we still went in seven points down."

Derry's Shane McGuigan on BBC Two NI:

"I think getting our confidence back over the last 18 months was the main priority.

"We knew it wasn't going to be just a click of the fingers back to the way it was in 2022 and 2023.

"If you look there today there is still improvements to be made but we've got serious, serious quality and that shone today."

The Oak Leafers are really showing their class in this second half — maintaining a lead of over ten points.

There have been bright moments for Antrim, with fine scores from Eoghan McCabe and a superb two-pointer from Ross McQuillan, but the Saffrons are struggling to keep pace.

With less than five minutes to go, Derry look well on course to book a meeting with the winners of tomorrow’s clash between Cavan and Monaghan.
