    Lando Norris is really struggling, he's falling away from George Russell in front, Charles Leclerc is getting very close.

    Well Liam Lawson's currently in 11th in the Red Bull with Yuki Tsunoda 13th as it stands.

    The mistake are piling up for Lando Norris. I wonder what state Charles Leclerc's tyres are in if Norris is complaining on his medium tyres.

  4. A word on the race leader George Russell who looks a bit more comfortable now, in light of Lando Norris' problems with the rear of his McLaren, than he did a few laps ago.

    1.6 seconds is the gap between him and second-placed Norris as we approach the halfway stage of this sprint race.

    Very difficult to overtake and we're seeing that. Lando Norris has an edge on pace over George Russell. The one to keep an eye on is Kimi Antonelli, he'll be hoping that Charles Leclerc's tyres will go off towards the end and there will be an opportunity for a move. He'll be looking to minimise the damage to his championship lead.

  6. The pendulum has shifted towards Charles Leclerc on this lap.

    "I've got no rear" Lando Norris says over the team radio and Leclerc's clawed his way to within 0.7 seconds of the McLaren driver.

    Still, Leclerc's on the soft tyre which is more prone to wear. Surely he's got to make this stick soon.

    Charles Leclerc is over a second behind Lando Norris in third position right now. But Kimi Antonelli's maintained his sub one second gap on the Ferrari man.

    Charles Leclerc is dropping away from Lando Norris in front of him, this is good for Kimi Antonelli who will need to be patient on his medium tyres.

  9. Not a great deal separating the top four of this sprint race at the minute which is similar to how sprint qualifying panned out yesterday, in fact.

    Not a bad sprint, this. What we've lacked in overtaking, we've gained in a bunched up pack.

    Plenty of laps to go. Could we be in for a frantic finale?

    Very much a cat and mouse battle at the front here as Lando Norris has continued to keep his McLaren within a second of sprint race leader George Russell.

    Norris is yet to get close enough to make a move for the lead, however.

    Hamilton is really closing in on Verstappen, that's a battle to keep an eye on.

  12. Nico Hulkenberg has been told by Audi to box to retire his car.

    A pity for him and the team, they looked in decent shape in practice and sprint qualifying yesterday.

    Everyone is up to temperature now but the question is, can the soft runners Charles Leclerc and Ollie Bearman push anywhere near as hard and for as long as everyone on the mediums?

  14. There's 24 laps in this sprint race and it's a pacey track with plenty of cornering. Charles Leclerc cannot make those softs work for the whole race, can he?

    He's within 0.9 seconds of Lando Norris at the minute, but Kimi Antonelli behind has clawed him down to 0.6 seconds inside the opening five laps.

    An interesting battle going on between the Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Max Verstappen for sixth.

    Hamilton's bridged the gap to Verstappen quite significantly, but can he make a move in the next few laps?

    Meanwhile at the front, Lando Norris has taken three tenths out of George Russell and is within a second of the Mercedes man.

    The Cadillac driver had issues on the start-finish straight as the formation lap began and was wheeled into the pit lane.

    Meanwhile in the race, George Russell continues to lead the sprint with a 1.1 second gap on Lando Norris in second.

  19. Unlike most of the grid which has opted for the medium tyre, Charles Leclerc's got a set of softs on his Ferrari.

    So far he's maintained position despite pressure on the opening lap from championship leader Kimi Antonelli.

    A great start from George Russell, he did exactly what he needed to do. A gamble from Charles Leclerc to start on the soft tyres, he didn't make it work at the start but he will be getting those tyres up to temperature. Will he make a move on Lando Norris?
