Match Facts
Norway will face Morocco for the second time in history, after a 2-2 draw in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 1998 in Montpellier.
Norway have lost just two of their 17 international games against African opposition (W8 D7), keeping a clean sheet in each of their last three such meetings.
This will be the 11th time that Norway play an international game in the United States of America, winning just two of their previous ten such matches (D3 L5), most recently suffering a 5-0 defeat against the USMNT in a friendly game in January 2006.
Since the international break of October 2025, seven of Norway’s 18 goals have been headers, the most by any European nation over that period (3 times by Erling Haaland, 2 by Jørgen Strand Larsen and 2 by Alexander Sørloth).
Only Martin Ødegaard has assisted more goals for Norway since the start of 2025 (7) than Julian Ryerson (6), who created the most chances for Norway over that period (30), with the right-back also providing the most assists since November 2025 (assisting 4 of Norway’s 12 goals).
Since September 2025, Antonio Nusa has attempted the most shots for Norway (24), recorded at least 30 dribbles more than any other player (54), created the second-most chances (14 – Julian Ryerson 1st with 24) and was involved in the second-most goals (3 goals and 2 assists – Ryerson also 5 and Erling Haaland 1st with 15).
This will be just the first time Morocco face a European opponent since 17 December 2022, when they lost 2-1 against Croatia in the 3rd place final of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Since the start of September 2025, Achraf Hakimi has recorded more assists than any other Moroccan player (7), the Paris Saint-Germain defender provided the final pass for all three goals scored in his last two appearances for the national team.
