That's all from us on another busy Saturday in Scottish football - a happy one for Dundee and St Mirren after wins in the Premiership over Aberdeen and St Johnstone respectively.

It is even more busy top-flight wise tomorrow, with four big games involving Scotland's five European representatives.

It all kicks off with Kilmarnock, complete with their new grass surface, entertaining champions Celtic.

Troubled Hearts then entertain Dundee United, with Falkirk visiting Motherwell, both at 15:00, before Rangers round it off at home to Hibernian an hour later.

It looks like the fourth-tier title race will be the most difficult to predict considering no team has won both their opening games.

Elgin are top on goal difference after drawing at home with Forfar, who are third on the same points.

Spartans sit inbetween after a thrilling 2-2 draw in their city derby with Edinburgh.

Edinburgh are bottom on minus four, but it is Stranraer have the most worries as they are the only side to have not won a point.

They lost at home to an Annan side to avoided a sixth straight defeat to leave their hosts without a win this season.

The third tier is already shaping up like many predicted - with Hamilton and Ross County at the top, with East Kilbride threatening a third promotion in a row.

Accies marked their return to Hamilton after a year in Cumbernauld with a narrow win over Alloa to go top on goal difference.

County needed a late Brian Graham goal to secure their win at home to Montrose.

Meanwhile, East Kilbride showed they will be a threat with a creditable draw away to relegated Airdrieonians.

East Fife, unbeaten this season, are just behind East Kilbride on goal difference after beating Cove.

Meanwhile, Queen of the South, who would have their own promotion hopes, suffered a fifth consecutive defeat, losing at home to Peterhead.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "An incredibly disappointing performance. I didn't recognise the team.

"We didn't do what we do. We didn't outfight them, we didn't outrun them, we didn't outbattle them - they did the opposite to us and their front four set the press and then we couldn't cope with it.

"People went into their shell a little bit. You need to win second balls, you need to win battles. We didn't do that in the middle of the park at all. We didn't do it all over the pitch.

"There's a lot that has to be better. We didn't do the basics right and it's not like us. Very unlike us."

St Mirren manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Scotland: "Delighted for the group, a really good, hard-fought win.

"A lot of our performance was good. We just had to add a bit more intensity to our performance in the first half.

"We were quite comfortable without troubling them too much. We stepped it up a bit second half. We got away with one when Jacob makes a fantastic save for the penalty.

"Then we convert our own penalty, so it was fine margins. Games are going to be like that for us and we have to show that fight and resilience. Our energy and how we pressed at the end, we could have scored a couple on the counter, that was really pleasing."

Partick Thistle end the weekend two points clear at the top of the second tier after Friday's win over Livingston.

Ayr fell short of a sixth win in a row, but their point away to Dunfermline means they are second on goal difference.

Promoted Stenhousemuir are also on four points and unbeaten this season after a win over Morton that leaves the Greenock side at the foot of the table after a sixth straight defeat.

Raith Rovers are the other side on four points as they stretched their own unbeaten run over 90 minutes to six games with a win over Queen's Park.

Caley Thistle are also unbeaten in all six games this season after their draw with Arbroath.

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley is full of praise for Joe Bevan, the 22-year-old former Burnley forward who contributed a goal and assist in the win over Aberdeen.

"We think he's a player with enormous potential," he says. "He's got English Premier League physicality around him.

"We just want him to keep believing in himself because we think he's an outstanding talent."

St Johnstone head coach Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland: "We know the nature of this league. If you don't take your chance, the opponent will get a chance. They took it. No hard feelings.

"When you look at the game overall, we played - in the first half - a very good 45 minutes. We soaked up some pressure, played the ball.

"Second half, it was a game of two penalties. They scored theirs and I congratulate them.

"I was very satisfied with the application, how we defended. St Mirren are very good with the ball, they have a transition threat.

"My strikers were the first to admit that the qualities in the final third... was not there. Second half, we got our moments. Last week, we took our chances. This week, we did not."

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Sportsound: "The bottom line is I could run out of superlatives describing their performance.

"To a man, they were incredible and it's probably the proudest I've been after any Dundee performance since coming to this club.

"Really, really pleased. To ultimately get our first three points of the season early in the season's very important.

"We can't get too ahead of ourselves. It's two good performances. We're very early in the season. There'll be some difficult moments."

Our story from yesterday that the SFA is to hold a "critically important" summit around the future of the national game was a hot topic in the first part of Sportsound before this afternoon's kick-offs.

An email has been sent to all Scottish Professional Football League clubs to attend the forum, which will take place in St Andrews on 4 September.

The email, which has been seen by BBC Scotland, says the SFA will "discuss opportunities" around homegrown talent and hear from clubs who have "optimised their elite talent development model".

Dundee were excellent all over the park and were thoroughly deserving of the win.

Aberdeen just couldn't cope with it.

The only frustrating thing for the home is that they didn't score five, six, or seven - they easily could.

Aberdeen were incredibly poor - and they will have to improve massively when the sides go head-to-head again next week in the League Cup at Pittodrie.

Six points from two opening fixtures is as good as St Mirren could have wished for. It was Killian Phillips, who was so cool from the penalty spot, who made the difference.

A second clean sheet is also a bonus, albeit they had to rely on Jacob Chapman's save from Jamie Gullan's penalty to earn it.

St Johnstone threw a bit of caution to the wind, did threaten, but not enough to make the difference.

One win from two is solid enough, but they will undoubtedly rue not taking the chance to take the lead from the spot.

They were helped by St Johnstone missing a penalty, as well as a couple of gilt-edged chances.

As for St Mirren, they didn't create all that much, but Killian Phillips buried his penalty to once again win the points for his side.
