Watching from an English pub in Luxembourg. If we turn up and play close to our best we will win. Whatever happens, Argentina will score at least 1 or 2 goals, so I reckon we'll need 3... With Romero defending, that should be manageable!

    Teyler, Luxembourg

In town with the lads and partners, about 18 of us. Nerves of steel up until 7.59pm tonight. 3-1 England, lets have it!

    Jack, Middlesbrough

About to go into an important work exam, then back home to watch Messi vs Englands back line. Safe to say a very nerve racking day all round!

    Ollie, Wiltshire

Hopefully it's a day of luck for you, Ollie!

  2. 'Me personally, I don’t feel it as a burden'published at 10:06 BST

    England v Argentina (20:00 BST)

    England

England boss Thomas Tuchel said he does not feel the burden of leading England to World Cup victory.

In his news conference, Tuchel spoke about building fan excitement: "I think that’s essentially what a World Cup is for. To excite the country, to excite fans and to transmit energy and make people forget their worries, make people’s lives better for 90, 120 minutes and be just combined and be united and represented by a team. There’s so much to love about this England squad and our team that I’m very glad that people feel it."

On whether he feels a burden of getting to a World Cup final: “A burden? No, I don’t feel a burden. I mean, we feel the tension and I will be nervous, and of course, that is normal. But I feel no burden. I feel what I really like is what I feel in the last days that the players are very, very competitive. They are very excited and like I said, they are hungry to play this match."

“I mean the two shirts are just iconic, the historic matches are iconic. There are iconic moments, but everyone recognises this shirt straight away, everyone recognises the players straight away. So, it is the absolute beauty in the magnitude of a match, in the magnitude of an occasion. “But, me personally, I don’t feel it as a burden. I will feel the nerves and the tension. That is quite normal, but that just comes normal with these matches.”

    England

In his news conference England boss Thomas Tuchel admitted his first tournament as an international manager has been "draining" and the importance of having a refresh: "I try to do my morning sport and sometimes you just go on a bike,” he said. “You just need a big parking lot and an ice cream in your hand for 15 minutes and you feel like a 15-year-old, not 50.

“You enjoy your evening in a warm summer evening for 15 minutes and you reconnect to the beauty of that feeling we all have inside of us. That’s sometimes all it needs.”

I'll be watching the game at home. As for the nerves, they usually kick in right around the start of the game.

    Matjaž, Slovenia

Will be watching in Perth Australia at 3am, with headphones on trying not to make sound, so I don’t wake up my Australian wife . Otherwise I may not get to see England win the Word Cup on Monday morning if you know what I mean….

    Mark, Perth

In the infamous 'Paddy's' bar in Beijing. It's an unusual feeling heading into that bar - known for its playful anti-Englishness - and this game - knowing for once most of the crowd is on our side. I think 2-2 and England to win on pens.

  7. 'Ideal to play with a calm head and hot heart'published at 09:47 BST

    England v Argentina (20:00 BST)

    England

England boss Thomas Tuchel on playing Argentina with 'calm heads': "If possible, but I think it’s a lot to ask. I am not so sure you see a lot of calm heads, me included, tomorrow.

"That would be ideal to play with a calm head and a hot heart. I think it will be emotional, anything else would really surprise me and it’s just what both teams bring to the table. They are emotional and very supportive group within themselves.

"We are also very competitive, if they have the edge, we have the edge. We are proven in several battles now through this tournament. This is of course a big one and we are up for it."

  9. 'We can match the intensity'published at 09:36 BST

    England v Argentina (20:00 BST)

    England

England boss Thomas Tuchel spoke to BBC football correspondent John Murray about how his side will face Argentina: "Well, I think I expect an emotional game. I expect a physical game. The conditions will be brilliant, so we will try and make it, except the physicality of it and that is basically it.

"We will be asked a lot of questions, they are a complete team, since many years together with a coach. They have the experience of several tournaments together; you can see that.

"Like I said, I think we can match the intensity, maybe even put our intensity on top of them. Then it will be a match of moments and momentums.

"I expect several momentum swings to be honest. They are very strong in possession, very strong in the last third, with a lot of players inside and of course Messi who finds solutions when no one else finds them, but we also have our weapons to hurt them. So, we need to dig in, we need to stay focussed and we need a complete performance over the whole 90 plus minutes."

    France 0-2 Spain

Despite most people thinking it was France's trophy to lose, Spain are the ones who have progressed to the final.

The European champions put on an absolute clinic in Dallas against a below-par France to book their place in a first World Cup final since they won it in 2010.

What a performance from a side who will be very, very hard to beat on Sunday night.
