Both players did excellently there. There were moments where Bunny Shaw was a little bit ahead but Clark was patient in her defending.

Great one-v-one battle there and Clark came out on top.

Liverpool fashion a nice opportunity after working the ball into the box but soon have a reminder of the threat they face.

A loose ball is played to Khadija Shaw and she surges up the pitch.

It takes some excellent marshalling from Jenna Clark to deal with her and prevent Shaw having a shot.

How did Endemann travel that distance with very little pressure from Man City? I expect City to press aggressively and certainly not allow any player to shoot from that distance.

Liverpool have come out really strong this half and I think Man City need to wake up a bit - they seem two or three yards off the Liverpool players at the moment.

Manchester City have dropped deep since the restart and Liverpool are enjoying it.

They've set up shop around the final third.

If you look at Man City's midfield at the moment, I think they're just too far away and it's leaving so much space for the Liverpool midfield.

They were invited to drive it through the middle so I think City need to be tighter there when they're defending.

This game has got everything. We've even had a 'ghost goal'.

For a moment, the Liverpool fans think it's gone in.

Liverpool are absolutely stronger when they're higher up the pitch and try to press and win the ball higher up the pitch.

City have to be more secure when they're on the ball but also move it quicker. Get it out of areas a lot earlier because there's so much space on the pitch and they're not using it at the moment. They're trying to go down really small, confined avenues when the quality they have in the players, they can spread the play a bit more.

The momentum changed about four times during that half and that's what you want to see - you want the WSL to be competitive and each game to be competitive.

It's probably fair going in at 2-2 I think, as much as it was a few errors from each team they've pretty much cancelled each other out. It's set up to be really enjoyable and it will take one team to step up.

Well what an entertaining first half that was.

Liverpool were fully deserving of their lead after pressuring City into all kinds of mistakes, but sometimes luck just doesn't go your way.

Khadija Shaw was in the right place at the right time to score her fourth goal of the season, but Khiara Keating will be so disappointed.

More end to end action in the second half?

We get treated so often when Women's Super League games are on a Friday night, don't we?
