Tottenham have agreed a £2.5m loan deal for Kevin Danso to join Sunderland for the remainder of the season.

The Wearside club will have a £22.5m obligation to buy fee if Regis Le Bris' side stay in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old has not featured in the Premier League this season under Roberto de Zerbi, but he scored in his League Cup appearance against Charlton Athletic.

Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has completed a season-long loan to Como.

Sanchez started Chelsea's opening Premier League game at Fulham but wasn't named in the squad in Sunday's win over Brighton with Emi Martinez joining from Aston Villa.

Earlier we brought you the news that Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was undergoing a medical at Italian side Como.

Fulham are in advanced talks to sign David Affengruber from Elche, but with work still to be done.

The Austria international, 25, is keen on a move to Craven Cottage where officials are confident of completing a move before Tuesday's deadline.

It would be the third potential addition of the day, alongside two midfielders - Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Larsson and Real Madrid's Miguel Angel, who have both been completing medicals in London.

They are also looking at potentially adding a right-back before the deadline.

Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by the deadline.

The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.

For a deadline of 23:00, the deal sheet cannot be used before 21:00 and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes.

Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got another two hours, or until 01:00, in which to submit the full paperwork.

Nottingham Forest defender Zach Abbott has signed a new contract and joined Southampton on a season-long loan.

He has signed a four-year deal at the City Ground after a breakthrough season, which saw him make his Premier League debut and play seven times in the Europa League.

The 20-year-old made his senior debut against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup in 2024 and has made 12 appearances in all competitions.

Abbott, who has come through the club's academy, said: “I had memorable experiences last year that have given me even more hunger to improve and continue my development.

"This club has been my home for nearly 10 years, and I have a big sense of pride every time I pull on the shirt."

Chelsea have confirmed Dario Essugo will join Ligue 1 RC Strasbourg on loan and that Deivid Washington will join the French side on a permanent transfer.

Essugo joined Stamford Bridge in June 2025 for a £18.5m fee. Last season, the midfielder featured in five games for the Blues.

Washington joined Chelsea in August 2023 for a fee worth £17.2m, but has only featured in three senior games for the west London club.

Crystal Palace have seen an initial approach for Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano turned down.

The Eagles’ intimated they would be willing to pay around £25million for the Japan international, which is below the German club’s valuation.

Nottingham Forest defender Morato has joined side West Ham on a season-long loan, with the option to make the deal permanent.

The 25-year-old reunites with former Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo at the London Stadium.

The Hammers had been interested in Wolves' Ladislav Krejci but the Czechia international does not want to move to another Championship club, with Wolves unwilling to sell to a promotion rival.

Morato joined Forest from Benfica in 2024 and made 66 appearances in all competitions.

The defender was named in the team of the tournament for the 2025-26 Europa League and played in all but two games in the competition as Forest reached the last four.

Al-Diriyah are showing an interest in Aston Villa attacker Leon Bailey. The Jamaican international has been linked with a move away from Villa Park and the Saudi club will make a move for Bailey if he doesn’t leave before today’s deadline.

The transfer deadline in Saudi Arabia is on 6 September. Al-Diriyah’s sporting director is former Crystal Palace player Dougie Freedman.

Arsenal have confirmed Ethan Nwaneri will join Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan for the rest of the 2026-27 season.

The 19-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history when he came off the bench for Arsenal aged 15 years and 181 days in 2022.

Leeds United are exploring a move for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya.

It follows the collapse of the 21-year-old's proposed move to Hull City over concerns about a switch to the East Yorkshire club.

However, with time running out before the transfer deadline, Bahoya is now considering a move to Yorkshire rivals Leeds.

Leeds had been interested in signing Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, but the Ukraine international has instead opted to join Tottenham.

Liverpool had turned their attentions to Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr after having two bids for Yankuba Minteh rejected by Brighton.

The Seagulls want more than the £60m offered by Liverpool and it remains to be seen whether Andoni Iraola's side go back in for him.

Like the Gambian, Sarr is a right-sided winger and the Reds initially enquired about the Senegal international last week, but that was rebuffed by Crystal Palace.

Now that it looks like Cody Gakpo is staying on Merseyside, will Sarr be staying in London?

Lack of signings? Liverpool have brought in Bradley Barcola for £123m from Paris St-Germain as well as defender Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz.
