Managerless Newport County have made their seventh signing of the summer by bringing defender Kyle Cameron back for a second spell at Rodney Parade.

The Exiles started pre-season training on Monday under interim manager Chris Todd following the shock departure of Christian Fuchs.

Plans continue for the start of League Two with the addition of Cameron after the mutual termination of his Bromley contract.

The 29-year-old joined the Ravens from Notts County in the summer of 2025 and helped them to promotion to League One as champions.

Cameron made 18 league appearances for Bromley and played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 win against Newport on New Year's Day.

He will now return to Rodney Parade after making eight outings for the club in 2016, when his loan spell from Newcastle was cut short by injury in what turned out to be County's Great Escape season.

Chairman Huw Jenkins is searching for the fifth boss since taking over Newport in January 2024 while also spearheading the recruitment drive.

County, who avoided relegation to the National League on the last day of 2025-26, have added Cameron to the signings of Harrison Biggins, Christian Doidge, Cameron Norman, Dan Sassi, Shaquille Gwengwe and Yahya Bamba.

As well as Fuchs, key figures Bobby Kamwa, Matt Baker and Michael Spellman have left Rodney Parade after turning down contract offers.
