Man Utd new stadium plans on track

Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada says the club remains on track to build a new stadium close to the present site at Old Trafford.
Trafford Council are in the middle of a series of consultation events around their Old Trafford Masterplan, of which the new stadium is the centrepiece.
When the consultation period finishes on 22 September, tweaks can be made to the project before planning and financing can start to be arranged.
United are yet to explain how they will fund the 100,000-capacity arena, which is set to cost in excess of £2bn.
"Work continues on our ambition to build a new stadium as part of a much broader redevelopment of our surrounding area here at Old Trafford," explained Berrada.
"Over the summer we shared the proposed new location of the stadium and we will be working closely with our fans over the coming months to keep you involved in that process."
