Agony for Ireland who came so close to their first Women's T20 World Cup win.

But what a fantastic game - with that heart and that type of performance, their win will come.

    That's our lot for today.

There are three games on Saturday: Australia v Netherlands, Pakistan v Bangladesh and then a big one between England and Scotland in Leeds.

There will be radio commentary on all three and we'll have text and video clips from the evening game too.

Thanks for joining us and goodbye.

New Zealand's Melie Kerr: "It has been a disappointing start to the tournament so today was just about body language and turning up. We need to turn and believe we can still win games of cricket.

"I don't necessarily think a couple of training sessions will change anything. We're a good side - it is just about holding our nerve when the game is on the line and the first two games we didn't quite do that."

More from Gaby Lewis: "They were bound to get a partnership here and there, they're world champions for a reason. But to keep them at 140, I felt we had a chance at the break.

On her 110-run partnership with Orla Prendergast: "We love batting together. We run well together. We backed ourselves to take it as deep as we can and a big over would come. It just didn't come."

Ireland captain Gaby Lewis: "It's hard to reflect straight away. There's a lot of emotion. We wanted that first win so badly.

"As a team, we did so much right. It's hard to sum up right now."

More from Melie Kerr: "I thought had to lower my risk factor a little bit when we were three down, but you have to still be positive and you need runs to win cricket.

"I do think still I got out at a bad time. It would have been nice to have really kicked on to get us to a bigger total."

That win keeps defending champions New Zealand in the hunt for a semi-final place.

Ireland remain winless and bottom of the Group 2 table. They aren't technically eliminated yet but will need to win their final two games and have other results go their way.

Ireland do have two winnable games to come against Sri Lanka and West Indies. They have had success against them in recent years to that elusive World Cup win is still within reach.

So it turns out that Suzie Bates' last-ball six in the New Zealand innings made the difference.

I'm devastated for the team. They played the game that they would have wanted to today.

It was such a great opportunity for them today. I'm gutted for them.

New Zealand just showed a little bit of poise there at the end. Melie Kerr's captaincy was excellent.
