We've just been told there will be a pitch inspection in about 16:25 BST.
The rain has passed through quickly and work is underway to get the pitch back into shape again.
The covers coming off brought the loudest cheer from the Indian supporters this afternoon. They haven't had a lot to celebrate so far.

Fresh from taking 2-25 on debut, he struck twice in the opening over to remove Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma for golden ducks.
And India found themselves 19-3 when he got Shreyas Iyer to chop onto his stumps in the third over.
A direct hit from Ross Adair saw off Ishan Kishan as Ireland finished the powerplay with four wickets and although Axar Patel and Tilak Varma have put on 19 (19) for the fifth wicket, the hosts remain on top.

The rain is back and it's proper rain this time.
It's coming just as the partnership of Axar Patel and Tilak Varma looks to bring some stability to the world champions, who have been rocked by the new hero of Irish cricket, Jai Moondra.
This could be a decent delay.
Another rain shower is sweeping through Stormont. The players are rushing off and the covers are being rushed on.
India will welcome the opportunity to regroup.
They need 101 runs from 72 balls with six wickets in hand.

It's a much-needed over of calm for India, who start with a comfortable two off a Tilak Varma sweep and follow it up with five singles.

It's a poor review. Nowhere near the stumps. The ball ran away for four leg-byes, so that's something positive for India.
Ireland won't mind too much. They've got India four down inside the powerplay.
Enthusiastic appeal for lbw against Tilak Varma from Jai Moondra. He has a brief conversation with Lorcan Tucker and the skipper sends it upstairs.
It's not out on the field and it looked to be drifting down leg to me.

That was unbelievable fielding from Ross Adair. A stunning run out. The fielding from Ireland today and Friday has been superb. They all look athletic and they are in a brilliant position.
Kishan run out (Adair) 12 (Ind 35-4)
Ishan Kishan, at the non-striker's end, wanted a single. Tilak Varma, playing to backward point, did not but didn't give the signal until Kishan was halfway down.
Ross Adair picked it up cleanly and nailed the direct hit.
Kishan is out for 12 (11). India are four down.
Lorcan Tucker does indeed stick with Jai Moondra but he is dispatched for back-to-back fours by Tilak Varma.
He got his line wrong on the first delivery. The second was simply good batting, with Tilak placing it through mid-on.
