Professionally known as Doc Brown, Ben Bailey Smith is one of the UK’s most versatile and talented creatives. His career began as a rapper, touring with Mark Ronson, before going into stand-up comedy in 2007. He went on to make a name for himself as a stand-up, touring internationally under the alias of Doc Brown, before diversifying into TV and film acting, screenwriting and children’s picture books and novels. Raised in Willesden in north-west London, Smith is the younger brother of novelist Zadie Smith.
