BBC Proms

The season features over 3,000 artists with 72 Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and 13 at venues across the UK

Running from 17 July to 12 September, the Proms returns this summer for an unforgettable eight weeks of music. General booking opens 16 May.

Piano superstar Yunchan Lim joins Dalia Stasevska and the BBC Symphony Orchestra for Ravel’s bluesy Concerto in G major. We also hear music by Copland, Gershwin and Finzi, alongside a world premiere from French-British composer Josephine Stephenson

The Chineke! Orchestra returns to the Proms under Jonathon Heyward, bringing with it Dvořák’s ecstatic hymn to nature, the Symphony No. 8, and Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with star American soprano Angel Blue

For their first Prom of the 2026 season, Ryan Bancroft and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales perform spiritually charged works by Lili Boulanger, Szymanowski, Messiaen and Strauss, each reflecting on death and the afterlife

For their second concert of the season The Met Orchestra is joined by Joyce DiDonato for Mahler’s Rückert- Lieder. We also heard the composer’s nature-loving Symphony No. 4 and Kaija Saariaho’s Lumière et pesanteur

Sir Antonio Pappano conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in one of the repertoire’s most monumental musical statements: Berlioz’s Requiem, a sonic portrait of ‘mankind gathered together on the last day’

Fresh from the Glyndebourne Festival, the Proms presents Strauss’s opera-within-an-opera Ariadne auf Naxos, performed complete at the festival for the first time in nearly half a century
