About This Event

Grammy-nominated Dutch-Turkish band Altın Gün brings its unique blend of psychedelic folk-rock to the BBC Proms for the first time, drawing on its recent Anatolian rock album Garip (‘Strange’), a tribute to the great Turkish folk musician Neşet Ertaş. The band joins forces with special guest Derya Yıldırım, Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra to turn cool riffs and Anatolian folk textures into rich orchestral colours.
