Johanna Malangré

The award-winning German conductor Johanna Malangré has been Chief Conductor of the Orchestre de Picardie since September 2022, earning acclaim for her musicality and charismatic leadership style. As a guest conductor, she has led renowned ensembles such as the Dortmund, Munich and Nagoya Philharmonic orchestras, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre National de Lyon and Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. She regularly collaborates with internationally celebrated soloists including Alban Gerhardt, Gautier Capuçon, Anastasia Kobekina, Alexander Melnikov, Carolin Widmann and Sergei Nakariakov.

Last season’s highlights included her debut with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester, conducting the Lucerne Festival Orchestra in the festival’s closing concert and giving the world premiere of Patricia Kopatchinskaja’s Double Concerto for violin and cello with the Lucerne Contemporary Festival Orchestra. She also returned to the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orquesta Nacional de Sevilla and Orquesta de Murcia, as well as making her South American debut with the Orquesta Nacional de México.

At the 2019 MAWOMA Conducting Competition in Vienna, she was awarded both First Prize and the Orchestra Prize. She began her career at the Cologne Chamber Opera, where she worked as an assistant conductor and répétiteur on numerous productions. She is continuously expanding her opera repertoire and has conducted performances of Rusalka, The Marriage of Figaro,Fausto Romitelli’s An Index of Metals and Die Fledermaus.At the Opéra de Nice, she conducted 12 vies de Schönberg in a production by Bertrand Bonello.

In her quest to bring orchestral music to a wider audience, Johanna Malangré founded the HIDALGO Festival Orchestra. From 2019 to 2023 this brought together young professional musicians from the major orchestras in Munich.

After studies with Johannes Schlaefli in Zurich, Johanna Malangré has further refined her artistry in masterclasses with Bernard Haitink, Paavo Järvi, Nicolas Pasquet and Reinhard Goebel.

Fel arweinydd gwadd, mae hi wedi arwain ensembles enwog fel Cerddorfeydd Ffilharmonig Dortmund, Munich a Nagoya, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre National de Lyon a Cherddorfa Symffoni Helsingborg. Mae hi’n cydweithio’n rheolaidd ag unawdwyr byd-enwog, gan gynnwys Alban Gerhardt, Gautier Capuçon, Anastasia Kobekina, Alexander Melnikov, Carolin Widmann a Sergei Nakariakov.

Roedd ei huchafbwyntiau’r tymor diwethaf yn cynnwys ei pherfformiad cyntaf gyda Leipzig Gewandhausorchester, arwain Cerddorfa Gŵyl Lucerne yng nghyngerdd cloi’r ŵyl a rhoi’r perfformiad cyntaf erioed o Goncerto Dwbl Patricia Kopatchinskaja i’r ffidil a’r soddgrwth gyda Cherddorfa Gŵyl Gyfoes Lucerne.Dychwelodd hefyd at Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orquesta Nacional de Sevilla ac Orquesta de Murcia, yn ogystal â pherfformio am y tro cyntaf yn Ne America gydag Orquesta Nacional de México.

Yng Nghystadleuaeth Arwain MAWOMA 2019 yn Fienna, enillodd y Wobr Gyntaf a Gwobr y Gerddorfa. Dechreuodd ei gyrfa gydag Opera Siambr Cologne, lle bu’n gweithio fel arweinydd cynorthwyol a répétiteur ar nifer o gynyrchiadau. Mae hi’n ehangu ei repertoire opera’n barhaus ac mae wedi arwain perfformiadau o Rusalka, Priodas Figaro, An Index of Metals gam Fausto Romitelli a Die Fledermaus.Yn Opera de Nice, arweiniodd 12 vies de Schönberg mewn cynhyrchiad gan Bertrand Bonello.

Yn ei hymgais i gyflwyno cerddoriaeth gerddorfaol i gynulleidfa ehangach, sefydlodd Johanna Malangré Gerddorfa Gŵyl HIDALGO. Rhwng 2019 a 2023, daeth hyn â cherddorion proffesiynol ifanc o’r prif gerddorfeydd ym Munich at ei gilydd.

Ar ôl astudio gyda Johannes Schlafli yn Zurich, mae Johanna Malangré wedi mynd ati i fireinio ei chelfyddyd mewn dosbarthiadau meistr gyda Bernard Haitink, Paavo Järvi, Nicolas Pasquet a Reinhard Goebel.
