Lee and Diarmuid are in Tunbridge Wells to help Rachael and Ryan transform their uneven, overgrown garden, where rotted decking and crumbling beds make it unsafe and inaccessible, into a romantic horticultural rehab garden.
The couple dream of a calming, accessible space filled with blues, whites and purples, inspired by Horatio’s Gardens, where Ryan spent time recovering from a spinal stroke. They would love raised cottage-style beds planted with ferns, foxgloves, hellebores and bluebells alongside a water feature to attract wildlife. A sunny patio will provide the perfect spot for entertaining and summer barbecues.
Together since sixth form, Rachael and Ryan recently bought a bungalow to suit Ryan’s needs as he continues his recovery. Gardening has become part of his therapy, and now they hope to share that joy at home as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
