Strauss's "An Alpine Symphony," performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Elizabeth Alker presents an afternoon of exclusive music-making, with recordings from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and chamber music from St. Magnus Festival.

Today, the programme features a brand-new choral work by Jay Capperauld, "The Language of Eden," performed by Roderick WIlliams and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Andrew Manze.

Throughout the programme, you'll find more exclusive recordings including a performance of Strauss's "An Alpine Symphony" from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vasily Petrenko. We'll also hear highlights from St. Magnus Festival, including a masterpiece from the foremost master of the piano duet medium: Franz Schubert.
