Episode 10
A runaway rider sparks a hunt through narrow backstreets, coastguards remove hazards drifting off Bermuda’s shores, and rookie officers respond to a rush-hour crash.
PC Raeshaun 'Robbie' Robinson and PC Holly Lavigne-Smith chase a moped rider who refuses to stop, weaving dangerously through Bermuda’s narrow streets before disappearing into side lanes. While hot on the trail, they stumble across another stolen bike hidden behind a church. Recovering it proves tricky, and Holly breathes a big sigh of relief when the tow unit steps in, sparing her from the nerve-wracking task of navigating a huge truck through Bermuda’s famously tight lanes. But with stolen bikes still on the loose, the chase isn’t over yet.
Back on foot patrol, the pair are continuing their routine checks through the local park when they come across a couple of men enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Drinking alcohol in public is not permitted. A polite request to move things along quickly takes an unexpected turn as one of the men pours his drink straight into the koi carp pond.
Along the shoreline, Coastguard Corporal Mel Gauntlett and Sergeant CJ Richardson are on rubbish clearance duty. With busy boat traffic during the summer months, even small pieces of loose equipment can pose a serious risk to passing vessels. Today, it’s all about staying one step ahead. Off duty, Corporal Mel spends some rare downtime with her daughters, swapping patrol duties for a family dive trip.
In the city centre, as evening traffic reaches its peak, PCs Logan Alexander and Chante James arrive at the scene of a collision involving a 90-year-old driver. The officers work to keep the traffic moving while at the same time gathering witness accounts to find out what may have caused the crash.
