Together, they look back on their extraordinary 12,000km journey from Palermo in Sicily to the remote wilderness of Hatgal in northern Mongolia, reliving the defining moments of a race that pushed them all to their limits. This one-off special charts the making of Race Across the World like never before. Featuring candid interviews from the production team and rare access to the embedded crews, checkpoint team and the London production hub that kept the race moving. From coordinating a race across eight countries to filming in the harsh and unpredictable conditions of Mongolia, it reveals the sheer scale of what it takes to deliver the most extreme series yet.
Lifting the lid on the casting process, the teams discuss how they made it onto the race, from their original application videos and auditions to the moment they learned they would be starting in Palermo.
