Episode 3

Carl is back with probation officer Toni, who finds out one of her service users is about to become a father again. He is on probation for serious assault, and has an historic conviction for assault on a former partner.

Carl follows the story as Toni puts measures into place to safeguard the progress the service user has made. But his past conviction catches up with him and threatens to derail him if he doesn’t make serious changes.

Meanwhile in Belfast, Carl meets a woman who successfully completed probation and has big plans for her future, but her struggles with alcohol continue to hang over her.
