BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award Winners 2026
THE WINNERS
Two 2026 Carleton Hobbs bursaries have been awarded to:

JACK NUTTALL (Guildford School of Acting)
They will join the Radio Drama Company for 5 months, starting on 29.08.2026.

Each of the runners-up will be cast as a freelance actor in one of our upcoming productions.

The event this year was arranged in two stages. In Stage One, 18 accredited Drama schools and colleges took part - a total of 70 students. 14 colleges advanced to Stage Two with a pair of students each – a total of 28 students. The finals took place at Broadcasting House and the judges comprised producer Anne Isger, actor Jude Akuwudike and agent Sam Harris, chaired by producer John Norton.
