Wildfires: What causes them and how can you stay safe?

Every year countries around the world are affected by wildfires, including in the UK.

And recently, after the hot weather, there have been wildfires in Scotland and in England and Wales.

So what are they? Why do they happen? And how do we best stay safe?

Well, Amy Croxton-Evans is a firefighter. She joined Shanequa in the Newsround studio to tell us.
