Is Pep Guardiola leaving Man City after 10 years?

He's been one of he most successful managers in the history of the Premier League but Pep Guardiola be getting ready to leave English football?

Sources have told BBC Sport that Manchester City are preparing for him to leave the club at the end of this season.

Guardiola has been at the club for 10 years and City maintain Guardiola has a contract for next season and are hopeful he will remain as manager.

But whether he stays or goes, Pep Guardiola is widely considered one of the best managers of all time, so let's have a look at his biggest achievements at Man City.

Who is Pep Guardiola?

Guardiola joined Man City in 2016, after three seasons at Bayern Munich.

During his time there, he won three Bundesliga titles in a row and two German cups.

Before that he managed at Barcelona where he developed his famous style of football.

Before becoming a manager, Pep Guardiola was a defensive midfielder and played at Barcelona for most of his career.

He also captained Spain to gold in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Trophies Galore

Guardiola has led City to 17 major trophies - and 20 in all - including six Premier League titles, the Champions League, three FA Cups and five EFL Cups.

And he's not finished yet.

After winning the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup already this season, Guardiola could still finish it off with a seventh league title, if they can pip Arsenal to the top spot.

Treble takers

Man City became only the second English team in history to complete the Treble.

That's when a team wins the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League all in the same season.

They joined their local rivals Manchester United, who won the Treble in 1998-1999.

Did you know: Pep achieved the same feat with Barcelona in 2008/09 and he's the only manager to have done it twice.

Points, points and more points

Man City are the only team to reach 100 points in a Premier League season, doing so in 2017-18, when they also set the record for the most goals scored in a campaign, with 106.

The previous record was 95 points, held by Chelsea since the 2004-05 season.

English league title winners

City made history by becoming the first team to win the English league not once, not twice but four times in a row with their triumph in the 2023-24 campaign.

Who might replace him?

Nothing has been announced yet, but it seems like Enzo Maresca is favourite to replace Pep Guardiola.

He is the former Chelsea head coach but also previously worked at City as an assistant to Guardiola during City's treble-winning season.

Enzo Maresca spent one full season at Chelsea, where he won the Club World Cup and Conference League.
