What do we know about Olivia Rodrigo's new Christmas song?

Singer-songwriter superstar Olivia Rodrigo has just announced that she's releasing her first ever Christmas song this Thursday.

It's called Take Me Home (4 Christmas) and Olivia has been getting fans excited for the release.

Her duet with Chappell Roan, Expectations, is currently sitting at number four in the UK charts, meaning it's one of the most bought and streamed songs at the moment.

Let's read on to find out what we know about the single so far.

Take Me Home (4 Christmas) has been written by Olivia Rodrigo and her long-time writing and producing partner, Dan Nigro, as well as Amy Allen.

Dan has written and produced with both Olivia and Chappell Roan, with Amy writing on five songs from Olivia's most recent album, as well as songs by Sabrina Carpenter and Harry Styles.

In a video posted to Olivia's social account, some famous actors are seen playing a game of 'who am I?', with the name 'Olivia Rodrigo' on all of their foreheads.

A fireplace can be seen and heard crackling in the background, giving the video a very festive feel.

Take Me Home (4 Christmas) is actually one of two songs that Olivia is releasing in time for the Christmas season.

Another song, called Miss This Christmas, is the 'b-side' - this means it's an additional track to go along with the main song.

Olivia Rodrigo has had some big chart success in the UK, achieving four UK number one singles with Driver's License, Good 4 U, Vampire and most recently Drop Dead in April this year.

Last year's UK Christmas number one was claimed by pop icon Kylie Minogue with XMAS.

Many fans, or Livies, will be hoping that Olivia has the same success with her new song, just in time for Christmas.
