Here's who's in Scotland's 2026 World Cup squad

Scotland's team for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada has been announced.

The 26-man squad for this summer's tournament includes stars like Lawrence Shankland, Scott McTominay, John McGinn and also teenage winger Findlay Curtis.

Scotland have never made it out of the group stage at a World Cup but the manager, Steve Clarke, says the players want to make history.

Goalkeepers: Craig Gordon, Angus Gunn, Liam Kelly.

Defenders: Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry, Aaron Hickey, Dom Hyam, Scott McKenna, Nathan Patterson, Anthony Ralston, Andy Robertson, John Souttar, Kieran Tierney.

Midfielders: Ryan Christie, Findlay Curtis, Lewis Ferguson, Ben Gannon-Doak, Billy Gilmour, John McGinn, Kenny McLean, Scott McTominay.

Forwards: Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes, George Hirst, Lawrence Shankland, Ross Stewart.

Southampton striker Ross Stewart returns to the squad after four years away from the national team.

Findlay Curtis, who's 19, played his first ever match for Scotland against Japan in March and finished the season with five goals on loan at Kilmarnock.

Liverpool's Andy Robertson continues as captain and Aston Villa's John McGinn - who has the most Scotland goals to his name with 20 - will also join the squad.

When do Scotland play?

The World Cup kicks off in June with Scotland's group C matches against Haiti (14 June), Morocco (19 June) and then five-time World Cup winners Brazil (24 June) all taking place in the USA.

The first two group games will take place in Massachusetts, with the final fixture in Miami.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke's side will face Curacao in a friendly on 30 May then they play their final warm-up game against Bolivia in New Jersey on 6 June.
