'We are worried about this': Labour MP says sanctions carry a real risk for British Jewspublished at 11:52 BST

The government's planned trade sanctions on Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank carry "a real risk of increased chances of attacks on the British Jewish community", a Labour MP has said.
"(...) We're coming up to what are called the High Holydays, these are the most significant religious days for Jews all over the world and there is a heightened sense of vulnerability in the British Jewish community right now..." Peter Prinsley, the vice-chair of Labour Friends of Israel, told Radio 4's Today programme earlier.
"You don't want to be a prophet of doom but we are worried about this," he adds. "My fear is that opponents of Israel won't distinguish between Israeli government policy, Zionistic political philosophy and British Jews."
"As far as they're concerned, the whole thing's the same," he says.
