Passenger belongings still inside derailed carriagepublished at 14:54 BST
Following the derailment, some passengers say their belongings are still inside the overturned carriages.
Alvin Dybvik Payne, 20, was visiting his family in Seaford from Norway when the train derailed, and says his passport, luggage, house keys and laptop with all of his university work are yet to be returned to him.
The economics student said on Tuesday: "It's quite frustrating due to the fact that it is right over there.
"I could go home to Norway on an emergency passport, but if I did I couldn't get into my flat, I wouldn't be able to go to lectures, and I wouldn't have any of my essentials."
British Transport Police (BTP) says carriages are not yet safe to access. Southern and Network Rail say they are "making every effort to reunite passengers with their belongings".
