Ed played his first gig at the age of 11 and it is no secret that the singer spent his teens busking in Ireland and around the UK before making waves in the mainstream.
His set today was free for his fans and done in true busking style.
He recalled his first gig during an appearance on The One Show:

Lianne Kaye said this was her first time performing with the global superstar, but she hopes it won't be her last.
"[It is the] first time and what a gent, he came in - just put me at ease.
"We had a little jam, quick run through and that was it - it just happened.
"It's really cool because he's really down to earth, so it just felt quite natural and just fun."
She said the crowd was massive "but it was a really nice friendly atmosphere, it was buzzy and really warm and welcoming" and it still hasn't sunk in.
