The Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band, known more commonly as the LA Scots, is a competitive Grade One pipe band based in Orange County, California. In 1999, the band proved itself as a contender in the future by placing eleventh in a field of 25 in the band's second Grade One contest at the World Championships. This was a major accomplishment for the LA Scots, one of the United States' few Grade One pipe bands.
