Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast. Today singer and frontwoman of The Cardigans, Nina Persson shares her First, Last and Everything - that’s her first record, the most recent one she's enjoyed and the record that means ‘everything’ to her. Nina also chats to Mark and Stuart about the band's forthcoming London gig - their first UK show in over seven years. The Cardigans met as teenagers in Jonkoping, a small town in Sweden, with its founding members forming The Cardigans in October 1992 and releasing their first single Rise & Shine in 1994. It was in 1997 that The Cardigans were first catapulted towards international superstardom, after Lovefool’s inclusion on the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann's 1996 blockbuster film Romeo + Juliet. The single reached number one in both the UK and US airplay charts. Also on the show ... long-running feature The Chain which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8,700 songs. With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started. Produced in Salford by Audio Always for BBC Radio 6 Music.
