1st May, known as May Day, is an important traditional festival in British culture. It's all about celebrating spring! Take the quiz to find out some weird and wonderful facts about what happens on May Day.

May Day is usually celebrated on the 1st or at the beginning of May halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. This European festival dates back nearly a thousand years and it is celebrated across the UK by doing maypole dancing, Morris dancing and crowning a May Queen.
