Did you know?

In Germany they have tried to reduce the number of years of compulsory schooling to 12, by introducing the concept of Ganztagsschule – all day school.

This does not exist in all areas and is not universally popular. It makes the school day very long for some people, who would prefer the old system of finishing at lunchtime. The Austrians also have Ganztagsschule.
