Bitesize Careers Follow Your Passion: What's on offer?

Aspirational careers advice for 14-19 year olds.

BBC Bitesize Careers and The Open University have joined forces, partnering on a campaign helping show how what you love can become what you do for a living.

We'll be kicking off with a focus on sport, explored through the lens of football.

The campaign launches in style on Tuesday 29th September 2026 with an event at Wembley Stadium hosted by Radio 1's Rickie Haywood-Williams.

You'll find all our latest campaign content on the Follow Your Passion section of the Bitesize Careers website from 29th onwards.

Through short films, a podcast series and social content, it will shine a light on the wide range of roles on offer within football and the varied career paths that people have followed to turn their passion into a profession.

From player-care professionals to physios, club content-creators to coaching staff, a football team is far more than just the starting eleven on match day!

We’ll be featuring inspiring people who got into the game through grass-roots volunteering, work experience, pivoting from other jobs using their transferrable skills, apprenticeships, and higher education.

There is no one-size-fits-all for getting into working in footy, so prepare to be inspired about where your next steps could take you.
