Test your knowledge of Greek mythology
Despite being devised many thousands of years ago, Greek mythology has remained an enduring part of popular culture to this day. Myth, deriving from the Ancient Greek word mȳthos, means an ancient, traditional story that dates back centuries.
In Greek mythology, you'll likely have heard of gods and goddesses such as Zeus, Hera, Athena, Poseidon and Hades, or mythical creatures like the Minotaur or Medusa, the snake-haired Gorgon. And in modern day culture, several films, books and games have retold these legends, and the stories continue to fascinate and enthral audiences
A more recent example is Sir Christopher Nolan's 2026 film adaptation of Homer's Greek epic poem The Odyssey starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland and Zendaya.
